Like any community, Wilsonville has had its share of well-known individuals and families including: Emery Aden - local historian, pioneer descendent Walt Morey - internationally acclaimed children's author Maureen Neuberger - past U.S. Senator  Edith Green - former U.S. Senator Charles Wilson, first Wilsonville postmaster - for whom the City of Wilsonville is named Julius Meier - businessman Robert V. Short - Oregon State Treasurer Ernest Kolbe - forester George Curry - former Oregon Governor. "Curry" County is named after Curry Alphonso Boone - Grandson of Daniel Boone Chloe Boone, Great grand-daughter of Daniel Boone - First female teacher in Oregon
